Drilling of exploration wells

Exploration well drilling is carried out at a depth of 2,000 meters or more for a detailed study of the geological structure of the earth’s crust, the productivity of the field and other important parameters.

Drilling operations

  • Drilling vertical wells up to 2000M NQ, 1350 M HQ;
  • Hydrogeological work;
  • Injections into individual well intervals;
  • Experimental single pumping, lasting from one day to 5 days;
  • Pumping water during flow-measurement of wells in static and dynamic conditions;
  • Water sample analysis;
  • Installation in wells KVP (cable vibration piezometer).

Geophysical works. Logging is carried out by methods:

  • Flowmetry;
  • Inclinometry;
  • Cavernometry;
  • Optical logging (for the dry part of the well acoustic televiewers (OTV/ATV);
  • Laboratory work;
  • Determination of uniaxial compressive strength in the natural state;
  • The same, in the water-saturated state;
  • The same for uniaxial tension;
  • Triaxial tests;
  • Direct shear tests.

Definition:

  • Conditional linkage in the pattern. With t/m2;
  • The angle of internal friction, f. deg;
  • Soil density, p. g/cm3;
  • Moisture of natural soil. We, d.e.; Porosity coefficient e de;
  • Strength of e wateras, kgf/cm2;
  • Tensile strength , kgf/cm2;
  • Volumetric weight (density) in. g/cm3;
  • Skeleton specific weight , d, g/cm3;
  • Porosity, p. %;
  • Fracturing intensity. w. M-1;
  • Lithological description of wells with engineering geological elements (EGE);
  • Geotechnical description of the core according to the classification of D. Lobshir and Belyavsky.
